Hi there. I'm from Portugal and i found this forum in another portuguese caraudio forum.
i've looked around and noticed that you all have already been in contact with both helix brand and focal.
can you help me telling your opinions about the two setups that i've written on the subject?
thank you all.

Hi there

What kind of sound do you look for?
what amplifier will you use, and how "strong" will you mount your speakers? ;)
these questions will help us to help you :D

Furthermore those 2 products are pretty good

the sistem is under constrction...the amp i already have..the audison lrx5 to bi-amp the setup.
of course the setup is for SQ exclusively. I've never heard the helix ones but i've already heard the focal. i liked focal cause of some properties that i've found extraordinary. the tweeter has an Fs very low, because of that it can make mid tones very easy not compromosing the positioning of the woofer cause tones beyond 2000hz our ear can't notice from where they come from.there are the off-axis problem but that can be resolved exactly using the tweeter properties, we know that off axis problem is solved very easily on a 3 way sistem, but on a 2 way if the mid cuts to high maybe it can be a hell of a problem to solve..of course focal mid basses need an extra care...but any way they will work on a kick panel...

about the helix...i've eard wonders about them, but never in comparison with others setup's.

blablabla, this is theory ;)
what about the "music" you listen to: funk, classic, jazz, rock?
of course many of us listen to "everything", but what's your most critical track when comparing two setups?

i missed a part of you're question about what music do i use for comparison...sorry my fault...
i used to do the comparison with any music of downtemple style like kruder&dorfmeister, or chill out songs that envolve sound's where the frequencies change gradually so you can notice the detail, the warm behavior, the colour of the sound that your sistem proposes...i think you did understand..  :)

the Alpine have a very good and fast woofer, but the tweeter is a bit "light"
the MS6 is good but I would'nt put it on the same line as the others.
The Helix is quite "flat", very detailed, warm.
The Focal is a little more dynamic, but can also be "tiring" for some ears, with bad tuning or not adapted amplifiers.
Another brand that should interest you: Hertz

see ya ;)

i've already had hertz but the tweetrs are very metallic and they "hurt" a little bit the ears...

so you say that the helix one is the one with better behavior is it? or you think that i can look to other setuo that i've mencioned?

the tweter is a bit light from the alpine, what do you mean?

thank you all.
